In September 2021, the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) issued a new version of Info Sheet 85. This new Info Sheet sets additional requirements for substantiating the worst-case initial contamination Listeria monocytogenes; for substantiating Listeria monocytogenes growth potential and for carrying out Listeria monocytogenes challenge tests.
As of 1 October, all new studies launched by smartfood R&D will comply with the requirements of the new Info Sheet 85. A thorough study of the new Info Sheet demonstrated that our existing studies and reports already meet 95% of the additional requirements from the new Info Sheet.
From 1 October, clients can rest assured that all new studies, started after 1 October, fully comply with the latest requirements.
An update package is available for existing reports, allowing us to quickly update these reports in accordance with the new September 2021 version of Info Sheet 85 when they are revised.
